A timeless flower, reimagined for the coastal bathing ritual

Some ingredients seem almost destined for the bath.

Rose is one of them.

For centuries, the rose has been treasured in beauty rituals for its unmistakable fragrance and its association with softness, beauty and simple indulgence. At Seawater Bathworks, we wanted to take that timeless inspiration and give it a decidedly different personality.

The result is Damask Rose—romantic, botanical and beautiful, but with a little drama of its own.

Inspired by an Extraordinary Rose

The Damask rose has a long history in perfumery and personal care, prized for its richly floral, unmistakably rose character.

Rather than turning that inspiration into something overly sweet or old-fashioned, we wanted our Damask Rose collection to feel fresh and sophisticated—a rose interpreted through the relaxed coastal world of Seawater Bathworks.

Soft botanicals. Natural textures. A beautiful fragrance.

And then, of course, there is that color.

A Bar That Refuses to Be Quiet

Most of the Seawater Bathworks palette is intentionally restrained—ivory, sand, lavender, sage and colors softened by the coast.

Damask Rose is our beautiful exception.

Each soap begins as a handcrafted cold-process batch before shades of rich rose and botanical green are swirled together. When the large block is finally cut, the pattern inside is revealed.

That is one of our favorite moments in soapmaking.

The swirls move differently through every part of the batch, which means each finished bar develops its own pattern. Some reveal sweeping ribbons of green. Others are almost entirely enveloped in rose.

No two are quite the same.

Where Rose Meets the Coast

Despite its striking appearance, we didn't want Damask Rose to lose the character of Seawater Bathworks.

Underneath all that color is still the kind of bar we love to make: a substantial handcrafted butter bar, created in small batches and allowed time to cure before being inspected, wrapped and prepared by hand.

It is luxurious without being precious.

Beautiful without needing to be perfect.

And just a little unexpected.

A Different Kind of Coastal

Coastal beauty doesn't always have to mean pale blue water, white sand and sea glass.

Sometimes it can be the deep pink of a flower growing against weathered stone. The muted green of its leaves. Warm sunlight. Salt air. And the fragrance of roses carried through an open window.

That is the side of the coast that inspired Damask Rose.

It brings something romantic to the Seawater Bathworks collection while still belonging completely within the world we've created.

Perhaps that is why we love it so much.

Among our quieter bars, Damask Rose gets to bloom.
